“All good things …come to those who wait”?

Or is it “all good things …must come to an end”?

Many know the former, an old English proverb describing the benefits of waiting patiently rather than rushing into something. By waiting, one theoretically increases your chances of something good happening. Religions and philosophers have long praised the virtue of patience.

Conversely, nothing lasts forever. The latter is also a proverb and acts as a wise reminder that all good things are temporary. It can be used as a term of regret, warning, or resigned acceptance.
